How to benefit from your listing – Celebrant Directory

There are four ways to boost your effectiveness on the Celebrant XYZ directory.

Link to your listing from your own website in the text of the website.
Link to your listing from your own website in an image shared on your website.
Post reviews to your comments section.
Ask people to post reviews and up-vote your profile.

1. Link to your listing from your own website in the text of the website

This is as simple as getting your listing URL, you can get your URL/link by finding your profile in the directory and then copying the link from the address bar. It will be something like this:

https://celebrant.xyz/celebrants/john-smith

Copy that link and then go to your own website and enter the editing mode, each website has a different method of approaching this, and it might even be something you have to send to your website contractor if you use one.

You can choose any text to create a link from, but optimally you'd look for text on your home page that references the main search term you'd like to be found for, something like "best Gotham City wedding celebrant" and create a link on that text to your Celebrant XYZ directory listing.

If you look at the HTML for that text it might look like:

2. Link to your listing from your own website in an image shared on your website

If your website has a section in the footer or sidebar where you link to affiliations, awards, and associations, you can use this image and change the link on the image to your own directory listing's URL.

There are a few ways of slicing this pie. If your website content management system, or website editor, allows you to upload an image and provide a link, then right-click on the image above and save it to your own computer, then upload it and link it with the URL you fetched above.

3. Post reviews to your comments section

Find your directory listing and you'll see there's a comments section at the bottom. Your clients and other suppliers can comment on your services there, and if you've already collected reviews, feel free to add them there.

4. Ask people to post reviews and up-vote your profile

This is the simplest and easiest way to signal to the search engines that you're worth knowing about. That upvote button is another positive signal in the algorithmic mix.

You can click it, your mum can click it, and everyone can click it. Share the link to your profile and ask for an upvote.
