Jill Player Cotton

Warm, Professional, Meticulous, Creative celebrant. Sydney weddings and beyond!

As your celebrant, it's my job to facilitate the style and type of wedding you wish to have.
To create the atmosphere, mood, and feeling you want to have on your wedding day.
It's my job to be available to you both from the moment you book with me to chat about any thoughts and ideas you may have (and I love hearing these) as well as any of your questions or concerns.
Your wedding can be large, small, elegant, inventive, traditional, informal, and/or creative.
Truly, the world is your oyster.
And this is all part of what I love so much about weddings in Australia today. Rigid wedding rituals and etiquette have been swept away - there is so much more warmth and more fun.
However, if traditional etiquette is your thing, that is wonderfully lovely, too.
As long as the legal requirements are met before, during, and after your wedding ceremony (and your celebrant is responsible for seeing to that) there is no "right" or "wrong." There are no, "rules."
There is only what feels right and comfortable for the two of you.
And if that is a simple ceremony that includes me as your celebrant, both of you, and one witness each, or, an all-bells and whistles with lots of guests type of event - or anything in between - all are equally special.
I am meticulous and professional, a double, triple, and quadruple checker of details; I have lived in London, New York, Wellington, New Zealand, and Southern California.
My three main hats have been a public relations consultant, a music teacher, and a professional scriptwriter. And for the last ten years, an authorised marriage celebrant.
I enjoy all the people, families, grandmothers, aunts, nieces, nephews, little ones, and friends (including all types of pets) that I meet, and the stories I learn.
I enjoy engaging your guests during the ceremony and on the day.
Being chosen to be your celebrant is a privilege.
My job = Joyous.
I love it.
And that, right there, is the nub of it.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give this a read.
All of my very best wishes,
Jill
