I'm a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Marriage Celebrant based on the beautiful Capricorn Coast in Central Queensland.​ ​I love the occasional road trip, and don't mind getting my feet wet on a boat trip. In early 2023 I will complete my 1000th ceremony since I was appointed in 2009. This includes marriages, naming days, renewal of vows, commitments, funerals, memorials, and life celebrations as well as a couple of betrothals! I’ve currently officiated just over 680 weddings.

Your marriage ceremony is perhaps, the most important part of your wedding day: it’s the reason you are doing all the hard work organising such a wonderful occasion. You have a wedding dream, a picture in your head of what your day will be like and I love working with each couple to make that dream picture a reality. Exchanging your wedding vows will be a memorable beginning to your celebration and to your life as a married couple.

I really enjoy the variety, the diversity and ingenuity of the couples I work with, and the beautiful places they choose to make their promises to each other. Sharing their stories is such a privilege. To date, I think the most visible wedding I’ve assisted with was at the amphitheatre on Yeppoon Main Beach for 200 guests and the most secluded venue was either an elopement on Facing Island (accessed by boat) or an elopement at Five Rocks Headland (accessed by 4WD)- I can’t decide - they were both private and sweet! I’ve been to the top of Mt Archer and Mt Etna, down at sea level on Heron Island, Pumpkin Island, Great Keppel Island and on all the beautiful beaches along the Capricorn Coast between Sandy Point and Keppel Sands. I consider Byfield and Mt Morgan as “local” and I’ve travelled west to Biloela, Emerald, Moranbah, Moura, Theodore, Baralaba and Clermont, North to Cairns and South to Murwillumbah to officiate at weddings.
So, you get the idea…. I love a road trip, a little hike to a pretty spot and don’t mind getting sandy toes or the wind in my hair.

Proposal aside, your wedding ceremony will be the next most exciting and important moments of your life. I do enjoy being part of that moment. For some couples there are no choices to make. They know exactly what they want and just need help from me to make sure everything goes as planned. For other couples the choices in style, ritual, or symbolism, can be overwhelming and they want someone to help them find just the right words for their special day.

I will always work to reflect the unique qualities in each couple's relationship. I am constantly amazed by the creative ideas, unique moments and special inclusions that couples create to include in their ceremonies and I love the stories that we share on the day. I believe in paying attention to the details, keeping it simple and being as flexible as possible to help each couple fulfil their vision of their wedding day.
